Buying a ticket becomes even more convenient. Check seats online prior to purchase with a 360° panoramic view and you can order through Facebook.

Since the groups of the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Cologne and Paris have been determined, the international demand for tickets has increased substantially. The purchase of tickets for the tournament, which will take place from 5th to 21st May 2017 and is jointly organized by Germany and France, is now becoming even more user-friendly for both venues.

For the first time spectators can have a detailed look at the individual seats of an IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship before buying tickets. This is made possible by means of a brand-new digital panoramic view, which shows the exact positions, angles and perspectives of the different seats in Cologne and Paris. See video manual on the right side of this page.

Since February attractive packages are on sale, which include two to 34 games. Venue packages for the LANXESS arena in Cologne and the arena in Paris Bercy are available as well as group packages, a package for the final round or for the games of the final weekend in Cologne. The button “Tickets” on the official website www.iihfworlds2017.com gives access to ticket offers and the panoramic views of both venues. There is also another new feature: The tickets can be booked through the ticket app on the official Facebook page on www.facebook.com/iihfhockey. The International Ice Hockey Federation has more than 242,000 followers on Facebook.

The World Championship Group A in Cologne consists of team Russia, ranked second in the 2016 IIHF Men’s World Ranking plus Team USA, Sweden, Slovakia, Germany, Latvia, Denmark and Italy. Group B, playing in Paris, finds defending champion Canada facing off against Finland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Belarus, Norway, France and Slovenia.

In Cologne, the main venue of 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, 34 games will take place, including Group A, two quarter-finals, two semi-finals, the bronze medal and the gold medal games. Paris will host 30 games: Group B and two quarter-finals. The cities of Cologne and Paris are interlinked by the Thalys bullet train with a trip from downtown to downtown taking just a little more than three hours.

The game schedule of the tournament will be announced at a later date. Day tickets and team packages will go on sale in the upcoming months, while single-game tickets will be available by early 2017.

The ticket packages that offer a price advantage of up to 20 per cent compared to single-game tickets can not only be bought on www.iihfworlds2017.com or www.facebook.com/iihfhockey but also via ticket phone: +49 1806 2017 01 for Germany and +33 892 69 20 17 for France (phone charges will apply depending on country and network to call from).
