The Eiffel Tower's first-floor rink offers wonderful moments of ice hockey 57 meters high up on the Parisian monument for its visitors.

From 14:00 to 16:00 all tourists coming to visit the Eiffel Tower have the chance to play ice hockey on a 200-square-metre ice rink, fully decorated with the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship colours.

What an honour to be able to entertain the Iron Lady’s visitors and allow them to learn how to use ice hockey sticks and pucks on the first floor of Paris' most iconic monument.

During the opening day, many people took part in the session and discovered the sport.

In this idyllic setting, after getting equipped with gloves, helmets, elbow and knee pads, sticks and skates, the participants were accompanied by professional coaches who allowed everyone to be assisted in order to experience the joyful feeling of sliding whilst having fun in a safe environment.

Children and grown-ups both understood the necessity to combine balance and precision to succeed in this sport, but what's more important is that all of them had a good time.

The 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship is a unique opportunity to demonstrate French ice hockey in such a symbolic and significant place for the Parisians and tourists from all around the world such as the Eiffel Tower.

The rink is open every day from 10:30 to 22:30 and visitors can skate for free until 19th February. Hockey lessons are offered early afternoon three days a week during the Christmas holidays and then on Wednesdays and Saturdays as of the 2nd January.

Ice skates for children and adults can be rented for free as well as the ice hockey equipment needed to participate in the lessons.
