The pre-selling of the highly attractive ticket packages for the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, to be jointly organized by Germany and France 5-21 May 2017, will commence on Friday, 5 February 2016.

In this pre-selling phase, the number of teams and games per arena is known, but teams are not yet allocated to groups and venues. Already more than 450 days before the first puck drop, this pre-selling phase offers an opportunity to secure permanent best seats in a desired category of the arenas in Cologne and Paris. The packages offer a price advantage of up to 20 per cent compared to single-games tickets, which may go on sale at a later stage – if still available. Now on offer will be:

• The "Venue Package", providing admission to all 34 games in Cologne or all 30 games in Paris
• The "Group Package", providing admission to all 28 preliminary-round games in Cologne or Paris
• The "Quarter-Final Paris Package", providing admission to the two quarter-finals in Paris
• The "Final Round Package", providing admission to the entire final round in Cologne including six games with two quarter-finals, two semi-finals, the bronze and gold medal games
• The "Final Weekend Package", providing admission to all four games of the final weekend in Cologne, consisting of two semi-finals, the bronze and gold medal games
